Work Environment

This position is situated onsite at our hospital facility in Augusta, a vibrant city surrounded by beautiful parks and rich history. North Canyon Primary Care Clinic offers a structured yet dynamic work setting where teamwork and patient advocacy are prioritized. With a standard schedule of Monday to Friday, the workweek consists of 40 hours, focusing mainly on afternoons and evenings starting from 5:00 PM. Our office is equipped with the latest medical technology to support patient diagnostics and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient examinations and perform thorough assessments by reviewing medical records and histories.
• Order, conduct, and interpret a variety of diagnostic tests, such as blood work and X-rays, to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic health conditions, tailoring treatment plans to meet individual patient needs.
• Prescribe medications, including monitoring their effectiveness and making adjustments based on patient progress.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously and maintain organized health records in accordance with healthcare regulations.
• Provide education and resources to patients and their families regarding health management, disease prevention, and wellness strategies.
• Actively engage in the promotion of good health practices and preventative care within the community.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including research initiatives and workshops to enhance clinical knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse patient population, including individuals facing acute illnesses and those managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases. Your role will emphasize understanding the unique health challenges of our community, enabling you to provide personalized care and guidance to enhance patient engagement and adherence to treatment plans.

Qualifications

• A valid State Physician Assistant license (PA-C) is required.
• A DEA number is necessary for prescribing medications.
• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies is mandatory.
• Proven clinical experience in a primary care setting, hospital, or urgent care environment is essential.
• Strong foundation in primary care and acute care methodologies.
• In-depth knowledge of health regulations and patient care protocols.
• Exceptional communication skills for effective interactions with patients and healthcare team members.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $160,000 to $200,000 annually, commensurate with experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
