Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a high-acuity freestanding emergency department in Austin, TX, requiring ARRT (CT) certification and experience in trauma and stroke imaging.

Details

• Position is based in a freestanding emergency department (FSED) radiology unit within a large imaging services department staffed by 100+ imaging techs and IR nurses
• High-acuity environment serving critically ill patients, with stroke and trauma cases regularly encountered
• Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with rotating weekends
• Night shift CT/Radiology team consists of 3 staff on per shift
• Primarily GE imaging equipment used throughout the department
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• ARRT (CT) certification required
• Active BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start)
• Texas Medical Board (TMB) licensure required if applicable
• Minimum of 1 year of CT experience, with active experience in the specialty within the last 6 months required
• Experience in trauma and stroke imaging required
• Experience working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment required
• Must have a valid US SSN and be able to provide date of birth for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required if licensed in Florida or Missouri)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local candidates accepted

• Candidates should possess strong scanning skills and the ability to remain calm and professional in a demanding, fast-paced setting
• A team-oriented attitude and flexibility are strongly valued in this department
• Dress code: olive scrub top and black pants required
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
