Electrical TechnicianLandisville, PA Regular Employee | Hourly Non-Exempt | $25.00 - 25.00What you'll do:SUMMARY: The Electrical Technician position is responsible for providing electrical system support, complex troubleshooting, facilitating engineering changes, testing electrical functions, and more, for company's various product lines including, but not limited to, emergency response bodies and chassis, motorhome chassis, specialty vehicles, and Isuzu N-Gas JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Diagnose and solve complex electrical problemsInstall missing components as neededPerform basic electrical troubleshootingEliminate any potential defects based on write-ups and self-inspectionAssist with major reworks and projectsDocument and report electrical defects to QualityLead resolution of electrical defects and reworksInteract with Electrical Engineering on current manufacturing issuesMaintain electrical documentation for shop floor applicationsPerform function testsLead quality, cost, and productivity improvement effortsSupport manufacturing and OEM serviceLearn and retain skills and practices needed to complete duties in assigned areaRead and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings, blueprints, etcetera, as required by a particular areaPerform rework, as neededSelf-check work and inspect prior processesUse basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as requiredMeet production goalsMaintain a clean and safe work areaInitiate process improvementsSupport 5S in work areaCommunicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales, etcetera) to resolve issuesWork in proximity with customer, as neededSolve complex problems with minimal assistanceWhat you need to be successful:QUALIFICATIONS:HS Diploma or GED required (Associate Technical Degree preferred)Minimum 2 years' experience electrical system support preferably in automotiveExcellent attendancePositive attitudeStrong and consistent attention to detailSelf-motivated with the ability to stay on taskTeam orientedBasic computer skills are requiredExperience using schematics, electrical diagnostic equipment, and applicable computer equipmentFormal schooling and training on electrical systems and electronics preferredKnowledge of basic automotive wiring theory and applicationCab electrical experience preferredAble to:Accumulate tools and equipment required to perform assigned tasksWork overtime on short noticeWilling to:Learn and rotate within all assembly areasImprove self / area / company (including pursuing additional training, if needed)Develop a working knowledge of Spartan's systems (example: AS/400)Train coworkersWhy Aebi Schmidt Group?Our people are our greatest asset, and your success is our success!
