Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Tester for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on developing and executing comprehensive test cases within an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automating tests for both User-Interface (UI) and database layers using tools like Selenium or Tosca, and will be proficient in writing complex SQL queries.

Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirements
• Contribute to test planning and build test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteria
• Automate test cases in User-Interface (UI) and database using tools like Selenium/Tosca
• Build and use test data required to accomplish execution of test cases
• Execute manual and automated tests, and record test results
• Test new and existing features, debug code (units and integration) and report errors and failures
• Work collaboratively with the development team for defect triaging
• Execute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression)
• Design, develop, and execute automation scripts
• Take ownership in end-to-end testing
• Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies; provide timely solutions
• Apply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentation

Requirements:

• Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math) and a minimum of 6 years of experience
• 5 years of experience in Software Testing
• Experience of Automation testing using tools like Selenium/TOSCA for UI and database
• Expertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and Database changes
• Experience working on Autosys scheduling of jobs
• Able to write and execute Unix commands
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, ETL technologies
• Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries using Joins
• Experience with Unix
• Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Octane)
• Familiar with the life cycle of projects (SIT, UAT)
• Hands-on agile experience
• Excellent verbal and written skills, to include advanced interpersonal and proven presentation skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basis
• Ability to be self-directed to complete assigned activities

Pay range: $ 49.37 - $57.37 per hour
