Graphic Design Lead

Tapstitch is looking for a hands-on Graphic Design Lead to translate creative direction into polished, production-ready design across both digital and real-world touchpoints. This is a contract role with the potential to move into a permanent full-time position after the initial three-month engagement. The work centers on elevating Tapstitch's existing brand system across campaigns, content, and events. Role focus Translate feedback and strategic direction into thoughtful, polished visual solutions Help evolve and elevate Tapstitch's visual identity across social, brand, marketing, partnerships, and events Identify opportunities to improve application of established brand elements while staying aligned with the broader brand strategy Develop visual directions for campaigns , content series, product launches, partnerships, and events in collaboration with the Head of Content and Brand Bring forward design recommendations while remaining responsive to feedback and established priorities What you will design Social media assets including Instagram carousels , Stories, TikTok and Reels overlays , YouTube thumbnails, LinkedIn graphics, and other channel-specific designs Scalable templates for recurring content series, launches, campaigns, and internal teams Visual assets for product launches, seasonal campaigns, partnerships, and apparel drops Event materials such as signage, booth and display graphics, step-and-repeats, presentation boards, printed collateral, invitations, and other physical brand touchpoints Apparel graphics using Tapstitch products for campaigns, content, events, partnerships, and brand activations Storytelling assets for case studies, educational content, founder stories, and product highlights Support web and marketing design needs including emails, landing pages, blog graphics, sales materials, and presentations Short-form video design support with overlays, motion graphics, text treatments, and light editing in collaboration with the content team Production and workflow Prepare production-ready files and collaborate with vendors or internal teams to ensure physical materials are produced accurately Own assigned design projects from brief through final delivery, including concepting, revisions, resizing, file preparation, and handoff Organize and maintain design files, templates, brand assets, and production-ready files Use AI tools to explore visual directions, generate assets, and improve design workflows when needed Iterate on creative based on feedback, platform insights, and performance data Manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-moving environment Requirements 2–5 years of professional graphic design experience, ideally in B2B spaces within fashion, consumer brands, technology, agency, or a startup Portfolio showing strong visual taste, layout, typography, hierarchy, and brand consistency Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite , particularly Photoshop and Illustrator Experience with Figma and Canva Ability to interpret briefs, follow creative direction, and incorporate feedback Ability to work independently while staying closely aligned with the broader team and project goals Understanding of social-first design and platform best practices across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn Experience preparing files for digital and print production Strong attention to detail around typography, spacing, composition, and consistency Strong organizational skills to manage several projects at once Interest in fashion, streetwear, creator culture, and internet trends Interest in AI tools and willingness to experiment with emerging design workflows and technologies Short-form video editing and content creation skills Experience with iPhone photography or video Experience designing apparel graphics, packaging, or custom branding materials Experience supporting trade shows, pop-ups, retail displays, conferences, or experiential events Familiarity with print production, large-format graphics, fabrication, or vendor coordination Experience working with creators, entrepreneurs, or emerging consumer brands Motion design or animation experience Tools and platforms Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator Figma, Canva Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn AI tools Location, schedule, and compensation New York, NY (hybrid) Contract role USD 60,000 - 70,000 per year For candidates based in the New York City area: hybrid schedule from our Brooklyn office Benefits Opportunity to create highly visible work across digital, physical, and experiential channels Meaningful role in elevating and evolving Tapstitch's visual identity Experience building design systems and templates used across a growing global company Direct collaboration with content, marketing, growth, sales, and partnerships teams Exposure to creators, entrepreneurs, and emerging clothing brands Work across both digital design and real-world brand experiences Fast-moving startup environment where strong ideas can quickly become real campaigns and activations Potential to transition into a permanent full-time role following the initial three-month contract Competitive salary and perks #J-18808-Ljbffr
