Warehouse Team Member II

Warehouse Team Member I Purpose: The Warehouse Team Member I has the ability to accurately and efficiently complete assigned distribution center tasks using a variety of equipment including RF barcode scanning devices, material handling equipment (electric and manual pallet jacks, stand-up and sit-down forklifts), WMS applications, and other shipping applications. Responsibilities Accurately process system and manual transactions (receiving, transfer, pick, pack, ship) Load and unload batteries Restock batteries Charge, clean, date and rewrap rotations Charge, test, clean, and date adjustment batteries Maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment Accurately maintain warehouse reporting and claims Operate a forklift and maintain a current certification Properly tag pallets (for transfer, pick, pack, ship) General warehousing duties (such as restocking shelves and housekeeping of assigned areas) Ability to multi-task and/or quickly transition from one function/task to the next Other warehouse duties as assigned by warehouse distributor management Qualifications High school graduate Written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills No experience required; experience in warehouse operations preferred (including RF/HH equipment, forklift, electric pallet jack and stretch-wrap machine preferably in warehouse environment) Working knowledge of computers or ability to learn applicable systems High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Sense of urgency and well organized Scope & Data Interact professionally within the warehouse distributor team Interact professionally with all other departments and team members Accountable for individual accuracy and commitment to learning from mistakes Operate with integrity and demonstrate a positive attitude Work Environment Be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance and occasionally lift up to 75 lbs Consistent walking or walking during shift Repetitive taping of boxes Overtime required as deemed necessary Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required Exposed to battery warehouse conditions, such as moving equipment, mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals Compensation Salary: $15 – $24 per hour Benefits Comprehensive healthcare benefits, company supported wellness program, onsite fitness center Wide range of professional development opportunities, training, resources and tools Competitive pay and bonus structure, saving and investment options that help you reach your financial goals and plan for your future (benefits vary by office) Equal Employment Opportunity Interstate Batteries provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sex, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws. #J-18808-Ljbffr Interstate All Battery Center
