Senior Technical Safety Associate

Job DescriptionAudubon is currently seeking a Senior Technical Safety Associate to join our team in our Houston, TX Office. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Accountable for the quality of Technical Safety deliverablesSupport and supervise task delegation to team, as requiredParticipatein audits as requiredEnsure that design meets all Technical Safety requirementsParticipate in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required and experience of coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Classification studies and other workshopsManage and review 3rd party studies such as QRA, FERA, EERA etc., as requiredFire Protection and Engineering Design experience including preparation of Fire Water PID's, Performance of Fire Water demand calculations, Performance of Fire Water Hydraulic modelling using PIPENET or similar Performance of Passive Fire Protection studies and drawingsPreparation of Fire and Gas Detection layouts, Safety Equipment layouts, Safety Signage etc.Aid in Manhours estimation and scheduling for project proposalsEXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.Bachelor’s Degree from ABET Accredited Institution preferred.Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or Fire Protection & Safety Engineering preferred.Professional Engineering Certification Preferred.10+ years industry experience preferred,Working knowledge of codes (API, etc.) and Process Safety Regulations preferred.Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing, including public speaking to groups of up to 30 professionals.Ability to lead teams to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.Ability to lead teams to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work related problems.Ability to provide instruction and clarification to team members.No Recruiters, please!Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/DisabledJob DetailsJob Type: Regular Full-TimeCategory: Audubon Companies, LLCSalaried: Salaried
