We're thrilled to welcome a MEP-focused Cost Estimator to join our Seattle office! This hybrid role offers an opportunity to support the development of cost estimates for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems while learning from and growing alongside a passionate team of project controls professionals. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and review of cost estimates, quantity takeoffs, and pricing related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Provide a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate the client’s project and strategic goals. Perform quantity take-off in a manner and level of detail consistent with the project goals and support the team. Input estimate data into the appropriate software Assure that a quality product is presented to the client through adherence to the company’s QA/QC procedures. Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project’s goals (verbal, written, and graphics) Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining the accuracy of cost information. Desire to learn, grow, and advance their skills in estimating, and various other project controls. Qualifications: One to three years of construction industry experience, preferably involving mechanical, electrical, or plumbing scopes. Microsoft Office suite and Smartsheet experience preferred Prior working experience with On-Screen Takeoff (OST), or other industry-related take-off software, is a plus Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills Bachelor’s degree, in construction, engineering, or architecture preferred; or 2 years of applicable construction trade experience in lieu of a degree Benefits include: Hybrid work schedule Company-sponsored Medical/Dental/Vision and Life Insurance 401K Program with a Company Match Paid Holidays / Sick Leave / Vacation Accrual Company Team Building, Employee Events, and a fun, people first environment Compensation: $105,000 - $125,000 O’Connor Construction Management, Inc.
