Advanced Neurology Medical Assistant (AAMA)

Overview: Join a dynamic clinical team providing compassionate patient care in a neurology practice located in the Midwest region. This role supports healthcare delivery and patient management with a focus on quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal clinical signs to identify at-risk patients. Respond promptly to patient inquiries via telephone, providing reassurance, education, and appropriate triage. Ensure smooth patient flow by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs, and documenting medical histories and chief complaints accurately. Observe and report abnormal patient symptoms to physicians, maintaining thorough and precise medical records. Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings. Manage medication samples and logs, coordinate patient testing and admissions, and facilitate referrals as needed. Provide patient education materials and ensure patients understand treatment plans and medication instructions. Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs under physician guidance. Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments according to protocols. Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is required. Work Schedule: Full-time, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week. MLee Medical Employment
