Position Overview Slows Bar-B-Q is looking for energetic, detail-oriented Part-Time Banquet Servers to join our catering and events team. If you love great food, legendary hospitality, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this is the role for you. This position is an excellent secondary job for anyone looking to supplement their income. With primarily weekend and evening shifts tied to weddings, corporate gatherings, and community celebrations, we offer the flexibility to work around your primary career or school schedule. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) Set up and tear down event spaces (tables, buffet lines, equipment). Welcome guests with warm hospitality and answer questions about our menu. Serve food, replenish buffets, clear plates, and manage trash throughout the event. Collaborate with event captains and kitchen staff to keep the party running smoothly. Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards. Requirements Experience: Previous experience in catering, banquets, or restaurant service is a plus, but we are absolutely willing to train anyone with a great attitude and strong work ethic. Availability: we cater lunches and dinners, weekdays and weekends. Make yourself available for the events that fit your schedule. Physical Ability: Able to stand/walk for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs. Traits: Punctual, reliable, professional appearance, and a team-first mindset. Slows Bar Bq opened in Corktown, Detroit's oldest neighborhood, in 2005. 20 years later Slows operates that original flagship location, Carryout & Catering restaurant Slows To Go in Detroit's Midtown, as well as Slows Bar Bq Ann Arbor and Slows Bar Bq Berkley.
