Job Function: MedTech Sales Job Sub Function: Clinical Sales – Surgeons (Commission) Job Category: Professional Location: New York, New York, United States Job Description: The successful Sales Associate will provide clinical and customer support in hospitals, ensuring superior customer service, sales logistics, technical expertise, and product knowledge. The role includes supporting sales objectives, covering cases, maintaining and managing surgeon and account relationships within the geographic territory, and promoting the breadth of the portfolio, services, and solutions for assigned accounts. Key Responsibilities: Assist DePuy Synthes sales organization in retaining and supporting further penetration with existing customers while supporting product conversions with new customers. Assist in the attainment of established sales goals including market share objectives in the prescribed territory. Apply knowledge of sales process, product portfolio and customer knowledge to improve sales outcomes. Guide and assist surgeons in the operating room through their clinical and product knowledge, present, demonstrate, and ensure proper utilization of DePuy Synthes products. Support customers by attending surgeries, ensuring the proper equipment is available and performing optimizations of trays; provide Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department consultation. Troubleshoot and provide other technical assistance; handle customer requests, effectively manage hospital billing, create and close purchase orders. Share key customer, procedural and marketplace insights with other sales, clinical, marketing and strategic account teams to improve on solutions and service levels; prepare sales reports and documents as required. Maintain, track and effectively deploy equipment and assets throughout the assigned area, ensuring product availability and presenting promotional materials in a presentable manner. Focus on customer satisfaction and retention; improve customers’ insights into DePuy Synthes tangible and non‑tangible value proposition and solutions; differentiate DePuy Synthes products versus competition by providing unique insights. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Associate Degree or Medical Certification (CST, PT, etc.) with a minimum of 2 years of professional and/or related experience. Minimum of 4 years of professional and/or related experience. Recently transitioned from Active Military Duty. Other Requirements Ability to work in a lab/operating room environment. Valid driver’s license issued in the United States. Ability to travel, which may include weekend and/or overnight travel. Residence in or willingness to relocate to the posted territory. Strong interpersonal communication, negotiation, influencing, strategic thinking, problem solving, and business acumen skills. Efficiency, organization, self‑motivation, positive, and pro‑active attitude. Strong technical product knowledge of surgical instruments, procedures, protocols, and solutions preferred.
