Engineer I, Process

Summary

The Process Engineer I will provide support in optimizing productivity and sustainability of battery production through high-level technical knowledge while ensuring stable mass production quality and process improvement through recipe setting, specification alignment, process capability management, and defect reduction based on a technical understanding of processes and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze productivity, yield, and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) of assigned process and department

• Work with engineers and operators to troubleshoot machines to ensure highest yield and OEE

• Analyze quality issues to provide corrective actions

• Improve production processes by creating SOPs and training operators to ensure understanding and correct implementation on the floor

• Establish specification optimization and process conditions

• Manage and revise Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans (CP), and Process Manuals

• Conduct chronic defect improvement activities

• Oversee production/development model dissemination and 4M change verification

• Conduct internal and customer audits

• Handle non-conformance reports and implement improvements

• Respond to internal and external quality issues for customers

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and fire regulations

• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience)

• 1–3+ years of experience in a production technology-related role preferred (not required)

• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Experience working in a global company preferred

• Must be available to work weekend/night shifts based on team needs

• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
