Anesthesiologist opening to join a dedicated, patient-focused care team at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, VA. Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital is a voluntary nonprofit short-term acute care hospital with 52 Medicare-certified beds. Part of the Riverside Health system, this facility provides a full array of services and care to all patients while honoring its deep community roots. With expanding resources and technology, Riverside is dedicated to the healing mission to promote, maintain, and restore health and provide exceptional patient-focused care in a compassionate setting.

Case Assignments include: Ophthalmology, G.I., orthopedics, urology, podiatry, general surgery, OB and occasional healthy peds. Shifts are on a 1 week on, 1 week off schedule; 26 weeks off per year!

Team Leadership is led by Richard Sears, Chief Anesthesiologist.

Team Highlights:

• Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
• Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
• Pre-anesthesia assessment
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent
• Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
• Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
• Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Requirements:

• M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
• ECFMG and FLEX
• Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
• Currently licensed as a physician
