Delivery Specialist

Compensation and Benefits Pay range: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the applicable minimum wage for the job location. Additional compensation may include annual or quarterly performance bonuses and premiums per hour in specific circumstances. Tuition educational assistance programs. Opportunities for career growth. Responsibilities Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently. Use delivery fleet management handheld devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Maintain vehicles: keep them clean, perform daily inspections, and secure keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and money collected. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slips. Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at the end of the day’s business. Clock in/out according to company policy. Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, and occasionally assisting customers, serving as a cashier, or helping with merchandising tasks. Required Qualifications Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record must meet the company’s 14/18-point record system. Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.
