Through cutting edge innovation applied to our proprietary technology we contribute to the transformation of the energy industry and help to preserve & protect the atmosphere of our planet.Air Liquide is hiring for a Project Engineer in Houston, TX!Join our dynamic team at Air Liquide as a Project Engineer where you will lead, organize, perform and ensure all the design and technical activities of a project follow the contractual requirements.Job Duties:Promoting safety within the company; meeting or advancing the company's safety standards.Coordinating the assigned engineering resources, either with local and/or with remote international team members and peers.Fostering collaboration and alignment between disciplines as well as engineering contractors.Facilitating weekly meetings with different engineering parties; issuing minutes of meetings; and following up on action items.Demonstrating an interdisciplinary mindset including but not limited to Civil, Structural, Mechanical (static and rotating), Piping, Process, Process Control, Systems, Electrical and Instrumentation engineering.Fostering the timely delivery of engineering deliverables as per project schedule; informing the project scheduler and PM of the status of each deliverable, risk of delays and recovery plans; weekly expediting of the different engineering disciplines.Securing the quality of the deliverables; verifying that the engineering deliverables and Basis of Design are compliant with the E&C Global standards and with the US and local codes.Supporting the Proposal team and supporting the review of the Basis of Design.Preparing the Technical Requisition Summary for procurement and guiding the technical clarifications with material/equipment suppliers.Supporting the procurement team in expediting the Vendor Documentation Records and providing technical support and review during the manufacturing period.Maintaining a supportive log of pending actions / open topics (from minutes) Implementing Document Control practices and tools (Alair, G-drive) for technical project documentsMaintaining a record of engineering capitalization pointsEnsuring the project execution plan is followed and assist in maintaining and updating the plan.Identifying, tracking and mitigating the impact of any changes generated after the signature of the project; building alignment on the approval of these changes and expediting resolution.Supporting technical Design Reviews and facilitating project gate review meetings according to Air Liquide standards, including inviting, planning and issuing meeting minutes.Interfacing with Design Authorities and the Overall Design Authority.Support Fabrication, and Construction by coordinating resolution of technical issues.Collaborative change management approach including commercial awareness.Are You a Match?Required Qualifications:B.S. degree in Engineering required (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)3+ years of experience in Project Engineering role within related Industrial Design or operationsProficient with Google workspace and MS OfficeAbility to travel to various job sites on short noticePreferred Qualifications:Basic knowledge of Engineering in all disciplines and processExperience in Project Management and Customer relationshipsSite experience (Construction or Commissioning)Second language (French or German) preferredProject Management certification (PMI/PMP) preferredWORK CONDITIONS:Office Environment with occasional business trips
