Registered Nurse - Home Health RN Coordinator (Part Time)

As an RN Coordinator Trauma Women’s at HCA Healthcare, you will play a key clinical and coordination role within the Healthcare & Medical Services department, supporting trauma services focused on women’s health and the unique needs of female trauma patients. In this position, you will coordinate the delivery of trauma care across the continuum, from initial triage and stabilization through inpatient treatment, discharge planning, and follow‑up, ensuring that evidence‑based practices and trauma program standards are consistently met. Working collaboratively with trauma surgeons, obstetric and gynecologic specialists, emergency department and ICU teams, inpatient nursing units, and ancillary departments, you will help develop, implement, and monitor trauma care plans tailored to women, including pregnant and postpartum trauma patients. You will participate in trauma activations, provide direct patient assessment and nursing interventions within your scope of practice, and serve as a clinical resource for staff on trauma protocols, women’s trauma physiology, and gender‑specific considerations in resuscitation and recovery. You will support the trauma program’s performance improvement and patient safety activities by reviewing trauma charts, identifying variances from protocols, tracking key clinical indicators, and collaborating with physicians and leadership to develop and implement corrective action plans. You will assist with trauma registry documentation, data collection, and reporting to meet internal, state, and national trauma standards, contributing to accreditation and verification efforts. Education and staff development are core components of this role. You will help plan and deliver trauma‑related education for nursing and interdisciplinary teams, with emphasis on women’s trauma care, maternal trauma, intimate partner violence screening, and safe care transitions. You will champion adherence to HCA Healthcare policies, evidence‑based guidelines, and regulatory requirements, and you will support orientation and competency validation for team members who care for trauma patients. As an advocate for patient‑centered care, you will engage with patients and their families to explain treatment plans, coordinate consults, support shared decision‑making, and ensure that psychosocial, cultural, and family needs are integrated into the plan of care. You will collaborate closely with case management, social work, and women’s services to address discharge planning, follow‑up appointments, and community resource referrals.
