NICU Registered Nurse NICU

Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, with at least 1 year in Level III NICU specialty. Neonatal Level III NICU experience required. Experience with patient ratios of 1:21:3. Travel experience required. References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years. Compact license must be in hand at submission. Required certifications: BLS/BCLS, NRP (Advanced preferred), PALS. Experience with charting using Epic is required.

Provide comprehensive nursing care to neonates and infants, including those with conditions such as prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, neonatal abstinence syndrome, sepsis, hypoglycemia, jaundice, and necrotizing enterocolitis. Manage ventilators and various airway management techniques, including intubation and suctioning. Administer medications and vasoactive infusions while monitoring patient responses. Assist in the placement and management of feeding tubes and provide breastfeeding support. Conduct routine examinations and participate in procedures such as phototherapy and lumbar punctures. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.

Must be willing to work every other weekend and 3 of the 5 major holidays. Orientation will consist of 36 hours. Pre-approved time off: one must be included at submission. All requested RTO must be included at submission; post-offer changes may not be granted. Facility does not allow Nursys or background hits. Free parking is provided. Scrub color: Navy Blue.
