The Role:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Dinner Prep & Line Cook to lead our hot entrée and dinner station. You will be responsible for cooking and plating our signature hot meals—like Chicken Parmigiana, Baked Ziti, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Spaghetti & Meatballs. If you excel at sautéing, pan sauce preparation, and keeping a fast-paced hot line moving during peak dinner hours, this is the spot for you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Hot Entrée Cooking: Execute made-to-order dinner platters, pasta dishes, and Italian hot entrees with consistent quality, temperature, and presentation.
- Sauté & Sauce Station: Manage burners and steam tables—sautéing proteins, building pan sauces, and maintaining marinara, meat, and cream sauces at food-safe holding temps.
- Prep & Batching: Par-cook and portion pasta, prepare proteins, chop herbs, and batch-prepare sauces during pre-shift prep to guarantee a seamless dinner rush.
- Complete Plate Assembly: Coordinate hot side items, garlic bread, and garnishes so full dinner orders are completed accurately and handed to expeditors without delay.
- Sanitation & Station Maintenance: Maintain high sanitation standards across your station, practice proper FIFO food storage, and clean down burners/surfaces at end-of-shift.
What We’re Looking For:
- Line/Prep Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or Hot Station Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment (Italian or casual dining experience preferred).
- Speed & Multitasking: Comfortable working multiple sauté pans and burners simultaneously under high-volume dinner traffic.
- Prep Skills: Solid knife skills, knowledge of temperature controls, and familiarity with batch prep techniques.
- Team Mindset: Dependable, punctual, and ready to coordinate with pizza, grill, and counter staff to keep tickets rolling.
