Director IT - Financial Transformation

Thermo Fisher Scientific seeks an IT Director to lead technology strategy and digital transformation for the Finance function within the Clinical Trials Division. The role involves managing enterprise financial systems, driving global process standardization, and partnering with Finance leadership to deliver scalable, compliant solutions across clinical research operations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute multi-year technology roadmap for Finance organization aligned with strategic priorities
• Own Oracle Cloud Financials and related financial systems; drive ERP modernization and optimization initiatives
• Lead enterprise-wide efforts to standardize global finance processes across regions and clinical trial sites
• Lead cross-functional transformation programs and manage project portfolios, budgets, and vendor relationships
• Ensure systems compliance with SOX, internal controls, audit, and regulatory requirements specific to clinical research

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or related field
• 12+ years progressive IT leadership experience
• 7+ years supporting enterprise Finance organizations
• 5+ years leading global ERP implementations or support organizations
• Experience managing geographically distributed teams
• Understanding of clinical trial or life sciences industry financial operations
• Knowledge of ERP Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting)
