Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Associate

Cozen O'Connor seeks an associate to join the Labor & Employment Department in the Philadelphia office. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience advising employers on employee benefits and executive compensation matters, including support for mergers and acquisitions, as well as compliance with ERISA, the Affordable Care Act, HIPAA, and the Internal Revenue Code. Candidates should have strong analytical, research, and writing skills, as well as the ability to provide practical legal advice on complex regulatory issues. Experience counseling clients on retirement plans, health and welfare plans, executive compensation arrangements, and employee benefits compliance is preferred. An active law license with good standing is required in Pennsylvania.

Our Labor & Employment attorneys counsel employers on a wide range of benefits and compensation matters. We advise clients on ERISA, the Affordable Care Act, the CARES Act, the SECURE Act, HIPAA, and Sections 409A, 401(k), and 280G of the Internal Revenue Code. We assist with the design, implementation, and administration of qualified and nonqualified retirement plans, health and welfare benefit plans, and executive compensation arrangements. Our team also provides guidance on employee benefits issues arising in mergers and acquisitions, regulatory compliance, and risk management. We work closely with clients to deliver practical solutions that help them navigate an increasingly complex benefits landscape.
