Seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for the pm shift in Rancho Dominguez, CA 2:00pm-10:30-pm Monday to Friday. You will help keep the facility safe, monitor entrances, while delivering, professional customer service to clients and visitors. Applicants must have a CA Guard Card, at least 1 year of security experience, a High School Diploma or GED, and Bi-lingual, communication skills. This full-time position offers a $18.50 hourly wage with weekly pay and benefits.
Qualifications
- 18+ years of age
- Min 1 year Security experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must have a valid CA Guard Card
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Capable of following complex instructions
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have basic to intermediate computer skills
- Enter data in the system when truck drivers arrive
- Must have good communications skills
- Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods
- Must have reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior
Responsibilities
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients
- Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards
- Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions
- Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures
- Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner
- Customer service oriented with basic to intermediate computer skills and effective written and oral communication
- Perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft
- Log inbound and outbound trucks, control/limit access to the facility at entry point, issue identification badges
- Capable of walking to and from guard shack to trucks/be very agile
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property
- Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules
- Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance
- Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports (DARs)
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Monitor for irregular or unusual activity
- Secure facility and designated areas
- Enforce facility and company policies and procedures
- Investigate and prepare reports on incidents
