Parks & Recreation Sales Representative

Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Base salary + Commission
Travel: National Travel Required
Work Setting: In Person

Our client is a growing U.S.-based manufacturer of outdoor fitness and recreation equipment. They are expanding their presence in the Parks & Recreation market and are seeking a motivated Parks & Recreation Sales Representative to lead the growth of this business nationwide.

This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who understands municipal, government, Parks & Recreation, outdoor recreation, playground, or related B2B markets and enjoys building relationships, developing new business, and creating sales opportunities from the ground up.

• Develop and execute a nationwide sales strategy focused on Parks & Recreation accounts.

• Identify and develop new business with municipal, county, and state Parks & Recreation departments.

• Build relationships with Parks & Recreation directors, procurement professionals, purchasing teams, and other key decision-makers.

• Prospect, qualify, quote, negotiate, and close new business.

• Develop and grow relationships with dealers, distributors, and sales representatives serving the Parks & Recreation market.

• Recruit, onboard, and support dealers and representatives within the territory.

• Manage the complete sales cycle from initial prospecting through closing.

• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts.

• Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and customer events.

• Work closely with marketing and product teams to support market-specific sales initiatives.

• Travel nationally as needed to meet customers, dealers, and industry contacts.

• Proven B2B sales experience with a strong track record of developing new business.

• Experience selling to municipal, government, Parks & Recreation, or institutional customers is highly preferred.

• Experience with playground equipment, outdoor fitness equipment, park/recreation products, sports equipment, or related products is a strong plus.

• Experience developing and managing dealer, distributor, or manufacturer's representative networks is highly valued.

• Strong prospecting, relationship-building, negotiation, and closing skills.

• Ability to manage a national territory independently.

• Comfortable working in a hunter/business-development-oriented sales environment.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Willingness and ability to travel nationally as needed.
