Job Title: QC Lead Scientist (Quality Control Expert III)
Location: Round Rock, TX
Duration: 12 Months Contract (Potential Temp-to-Hire)
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $50/hr. on W2
Role Summary:
Perform analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products. Lead method development, method validation, OOS investigations, and ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analytical testing using HPLC, UPLC, GC, LC-MS, FTIR, and related instruments.
- Lead OOS investigations and prepare technical reports.
- Develop, validate, and troubleshoot analytical methods.
- Perform instrument calibration, qualification, and maintenance.
- Support CAPA, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain laboratory documentation, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance.
- Train and mentor junior laboratory staff.
Requirements:
- BS/MS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field with 4+ years of experience (or PhD).
- Strong analytical chemistry and QC laboratory experience.
- Hands-on experience with HPLC/UPLC/GC/LC-MS and method validation.
- Experience with OOS investigations and technical writing.
- Knowledge of GMP, GLP, ISO 9001, and ISO 17025 environments.
Preferred:
- Pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or chemical manufacturing experience.
- Experience with CAPA, quality systems, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Previous leadership or lead scientist experience.
