Earned a prestigious designation for meeting rigorous nursing excellence standards. Serves as the region’s referral center for trauma care, stroke center, and neonatal intensive care. Offers a pediatric emergency room with access to multiple pediatric subspecialists. Features a high volume emergency department with 101 beds and a typical patient ratio of 4:1. Advanced equipment and technology utilized, including cardiac monitoring systems. Documentation is managed through an electronic medical record system. Staffing includes medical technicians and unit clerks during various shifts. Every other weekend availability is required, with flexibility in scheduling. Floating within the emergency department is expected, but not outside of it. Patient experience approach includes respectful behavior and engagement with patients. Strong emphasis on teamwork and a welcoming culture within the department. The team serves a diverse, multicultural community, enhancing the patient care experience.
