Hillcrest Firethorn in Lincoln, NE is looking for a Director of Culinary to lead our Culinary Department and Bistro—and this is much more than managing a kitchen.

We’re looking for someone who can bring together great food + strong leadership + smart operations + an exceptional resident experience.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Lead, coach, and develop a talented culinary team
• Own the day-to-day operations of the Culinary Department and Bistro
• Drive food quality, presentation, consistency, and resident satisfaction
• Manage food costs, inventory, expenses, and department budgets
• Oversee menus, dietary requirements, and our CBORD system
• Maintain strong sanitation, food-safety, and regulatory standards
• Partner closely with community leadership and clinical teams
• Build training programs and create a culture of accountability and teamwork
• Bring fresh ideas to the table and make an impact across the entire community

Who are we looking for?

Someone who can lead from the front . Someone who understands that food is more than a meal—it’s comfort, connection, routine, and one of the highlights of someone’s day.

You’ll need:

• 3+ years of supervisory experience in a culinary role
• Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential preferred
• Healthcare culinary experience is preferred
• Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
• A passion for building teams and delivering a great dining experience
