Paid Campus Leader: Freshman Skills & Career Readiness

Campus Rec’s FLASH program provides resources and experiential learning opportunities to support freshman students with their first paid position on campus. FLASH is a great opportunity for first-year students to become future leaders in the community. The program starts during fall term and provides on-campus employment and development opportunities to help first-year students to develop and strengthen their career readiness and occupational wellbeing. Minimum Requirements Current Portland State University degree seeking student with freshman class standing (defined as having fewer than 30 completed college credits) Minimum enrollment of 6 undergraduate credits for three out of four terms in the year Minimum 2.0 GPA and maintain good academic standing during employment Positive attitude Successfully complete a background check Portland State University is an Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity Institution and welcomes applications from diverse candidates and candidates who support diversity.
