FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FORCE COMPTROLLER OFFICE of COMMANDER SUBMARINE FORCE PACIFIC. Responsibilities You will perform or advise on work in any of the phases or systems of budget administration. You will formulate budgets and estimates to support plans, programs, and activities, including presenting and defending budget estimates before authorities. You will review and evaluate budget requests; control, and reporting of obligations and expenditures. You will develop, determine, and interpret budgetary policies and practices. You will analyze and recommend costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of organization's programs and administrative operations. You will implement legal and regulatory controls over approved budgets. You will provide advice on effective and efficient methods for acquisitions and use of funds to support programs and activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing a time and attendance/pay system; efficiency utilizing accounting systems to resolve labor and pay issues and ensure proper use of funds to support an organization's programs and activities.
