Today, we operate a fleet of autonomous vehicles in Dallas, Texas, in partnership with Uber, bringing our technology into real-world deployment.About the RoleAvride is preparing to launch a fleet of autonomous delivery robots in Fayetteville and is seeking a hands-on Robot Service Technician to support this exciting deployment. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and field operation of our autonomous delivery robots. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, working across mechanical and electrical systems, and contributing to the advancement of cutting-edge robotics technology in a fast-paced, real-world environment.This position is employed through our staffing partner and offers weekly pay. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.What You'll DoProduction & AssemblyAssemble wiring harnesses, cables, and connectors for autonomous delivery robotsInstall, configure, and replace sensors including LiDAR, cameras, and ultrasonic sensorsPerform mechanical and electrical assembly of robot components and subsystemsFollow technical documentation, schematics, and assembly procedures to ensure quality standardsMaintenance & RepairPerform routine maintenance and preventive service on the robot fleetDiagnose failures, investigate incidents, and execute repair and service campaignsTest, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical systems, including suspension and battery componentsDocument maintenance activities and service findingsField Operations SupportTravel between local sites to provide onsite technical support as neededSupport deployment, testing, and validation of autonomous delivery robots in real-world environmentsAssist with inventory management, equipment tracking, and parts organizationParticipate in rapid prototyping and hardware validation effortsWhat You'll NeedExperience using mechanical and electrical tools, including measuring equipmentExperience assembling and disassembling electrical and electromechanical systemsAbility to read and interpret 2D mechanical drawings and technical documentationExperience installing and integrating custom electronic modulesUnderstanding of AC/DC electrical systems and safe working practicesValid driver's license with a clean driving recordComfortable working both in a workshop environment and in the fieldAbility to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or moreStrong attention to detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting and problem-solvingExcellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skillsAdaptable, proactive mindset with the ability to handle a variety of technical tasksNice to HaveExperience in automotive service, vehicle retrofitting, manufacturing, or related industriesExperience working with electric vehicles (EVs)Soldering and wire crimping experienceGeneral computer proficiency and familiarity with diagnostic toolsExperience supporting robotics, autonomous systems, or other advanced technologiesBenefits:Pre-tax commuter benefitsEmployer subsidized healthcare benefits thru our 3rd party employer of record partnerFlexible spending account for healthcare-related costsShort and long-term disability and life insurance thru our 3rd party employer of record partner401k packageCommitment: This is a full-time, ongoing contract position staffed through our trusted Employer of Record partner, who manages payroll, benefits, and local compliance on our behalf.
