Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Summary: Provide specialized nursing care in a Level 2 Labor and Delivery unit, managing patients from 32 weeks gestation and above. Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure safe delivery and postpartum recovery. Responsibilities: Triage incoming labor patients to assess urgency and prioritize care. Circulate during cesarean sections, ensuring surgical protocols and safety standards are maintained. Manage the labor and delivery process, supporting physicians and midwives throughout. Monitor and care for patients during vaginal and cesarean deliveries, ensuring optimal outcomes. Complete patient recovery procedures post-delivery, including assessments and documentation. Document all clinical interactions accurately within the electronic health record system. Qualifications: Hold a valid RN license with primary certifications in NRP, BLS, and ACLS. Demonstrate 5+ years of labor and delivery nursing experience. Possess previous travel nursing experience in labor and delivery units. Be proficient in EPIC electronic health record system.
