Volunteer Opportunity: Volunteer Coordinator – MN Pocket Pet Rescue

MN Pocket Pet Rescue is looking for an organized and friendly Volunteer Coordinator to help welcome and support the amazing people who make our rescue possible.

This leadership volunteer role helps connect new volunteers with the right teams, keeps communication flowing across departments, and ensures our volunteers feel informed and supported.

What You’ll Do

• Process incoming volunteer applications
• Introduce new volunteers to their department leader via email and social media
• Create or remove volunteer email addresses as requested by leadership
• Share and promote volunteer opportunities
• Answer general volunteer questions and help direct concerns to the right team
• Help maintain and share the organization’s volunteer handbook and policies
• Stay in touch with other departments to understand their volunteer needs
• Attend monthly leadership meetings and provide updates from the volunteer team

What We’re Looking For

• Reliable internet access
• A Facebook account (to help manage the MNPPR Volunteer Facebook group)
• Basic knowledge of Google Drive, or willingness to learn
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A passion for supporting volunteers and helping animals in need
