Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting as appropriate.
• Provide support with mobility, transfers, and repositioning when needed.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable home environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support while promoting client well-being.
• Monitor and report changes in client condition, behavior, or needs to the appropriate team members.
• Assist with medication reminders, as permitted by care plans and agency guidelines.
• Support clients with errands, appointments, and other routine activities as assigned.
• Follow individualized care plans and maintain accurate documentation as required.

Qualifications

• Current HHA or PCA certification, as required by applicable regulations.
• Previous caregiving or home care experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with professionalism.
• Ability to follow directions and adhere to care plans and safety procedures.
• Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to client care.
• Ability to lift, move, or assist clients with mobility tasks as needed, consistent with job requirements.
