- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles (class 3 - 8).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using computer programs.
- Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel equipment.
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components.
- Weld and solder as necessary for repairs.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns.
- Maintain accurate notes on repair orders.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment. Participate in occasional roadside service.
- 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to provide own tools and toolbox.
- Familiarity with DOT inspections, air systems, electrical diagnostics, and repairs.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- EPA 608-609 license, ASE certification, and CDL preferred but not required.
- Experience with programs such as Cummins Insite, Tech Tool, and JPRO is a plus.
- Cummins ISX, ISB, and ISL.
- ASE certifications.
- DOT and OEM training.
- Software training for all makes and models in North America.
