Job Opportunity

Position: Registered Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our patient care team. This role involves providing both direct and indirect patient care in an inpatient adolescent behavioral unit, focusing on children and adolescents ages 6-18. The primary diagnoses treated include major depression and ADD/ADHD.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3x 12-hour shifts - Days
• Location: Maine (Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius)

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive care to patients in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and provide patient education.
• Document daily patient care activities and monitor behaviors throughout the unit.
• Participate in and lead education groups for patients.
• Float to Chemical Dependency/Detox as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Associates Degree in Nursing required.
• Licensing: Valid State of Maine RN license required.
• CERTIFICATION: BLS certification required.
• Experience:
  
  
  • 1-3 years of prior nursing experience working with adults preferred.
  • At least 1 year of previous nursing experience required.
• CPI Training preferred.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, providers, and coworkers.
• Ability to maintain professionalism in stressful situations and manage stress effectively.
• Capable of setting strong professional boundaries and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork.
• Self-directed with the ability to remain productive during downtime.

Additional Information

Candidates with any hits on their background or license will not be considered.

Up to 16 hours of orientation will be unpaid, and there may be occasional shift cancellations during the contract period.
