Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Portland. This position involves providing specialized critical care to adult and geriatric patients within a short-term acute care setting. The role requires flexibility to float between units and perform various essential nursing tasks according to clinical protocols and standards.

Job Details

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS; Education Requirements: Valid RN license; Location Requirements: Valid State License in hand or valid compact license; Years of Experience: 1 year.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Position involves floating between units, including ICU and Medical Surgical units; on-call and standby shifts are required.
• Additional responsibilities include management of dysrhythmias, arterial line care, central line care, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, suctioning (ETT, NT), and adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols.
• Candidates should be prepared to work during specified holidays with arrangements for time off made during the application process.
• Must include a response to the following from the candidate with submission: Have you ever worked at a Providence facility as a permanent employee, on a travel contract, or as registry/per-diem? If yes, please include location and dates worked.
• References Required: Two references covering one year (six months for CNAs) within the last three years during the compliance process and prior to start.
• Candidates may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities as needed. Refusal to float may result in contract termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
• Equipment and communication devices needed to perform duties will be provided by the organization, or reimbursements will be arranged as specified.
