PICU RN Float - Night Shift

Location: Akron, OH

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled PICU RN Float to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable floating between our primary campus and the Summa location as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Manage care for ventilated patients and implement infection control protocols.
• Conduct wound assessments and provide appropriate care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.
• Participate in special procedures and operate equipment such as ECMO, CRRT, and various monitoring systems.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of PICU nursing experience required.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact License is required.
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred.
• Experience in trauma level II or I facilities is preferred but not required.
