Get to Know Your Team Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Medical Center is an 820,000‑square‑foot facility that offers the latest medical programs, cutting‑edge technology, and patient‑focused care. It has 365 beds, 1,200+ employees, and a 27‑bed Emergency Room/Fast Track Unit. Responsibilities The Trauma Registrar greets patients, collects demographic and insurance information, and maintains patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA. Registers patients for inpatient, outpatient, or emergency room services and obtains accurate demographic and insurance information. Copies insurance cards as required. Prepares ID bracelets and distributes them with admission forms. Provides patients with information required by federal mandates, i.e., Patient Rights and Responsibilities, and Advance Care Directives. Obtains appropriate signatures and copies and/or scans all identification and healthcare coverage presented. Documents the reason if this information is not attainable. Communicates all information and financial responsibility to the patient/guarantor. Qualifications Job Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Preferred Job Requirements: 1+ year working in medical and/or medical insurance areas.
