Outpatient Mental Health Therapists

Clinical Therapist/Outpatient Therapist – In Person (not Tele). EMCMHC offers a four‑day, 32‑hour workweek with pay equivalent to a full 40‑hour schedule. Department: Clinical Services FLSA: Exempt Accountable to: Clinical Supervisor and Satellite Office Director Salary: Licensure Candidate (PCLC or SWLC) $60,000/yr Licensed Therapist (LCPC or LCSW) $72,500/yr Licensed therapists eligible for $82,500/yr after completing 5 consecutive years of full‑time employment or an equivalent amount of part‑time employment. Responsibilities Provides mental health counseling/therapy to individuals, couples, and families of all ages and diagnoses. Conducts diagnostic interviews and therapy with new clients. Provides crisis intervention during working hours or as needed. Maintains progress notes, treatment plans, and other records in accordance with EMCMHC policy while ensuring confidentiality requirements (HIPAA). Attends and fulfills Drug Treatment Court obligations, both scheduled and non‑scheduled. Meets productivity standards, documents client contacts, care coordination, crisis/consult contacts, and community contacts while maintaining a professional and ethical level of conduct. Consults with other staff at EMCMHC as needed. May attend VA group and other scheduled group sessions. Attends staff meetings, peer reviews, team service and coordination meetings, in‑service trainings, and outside service training as provided. Qualifications Master’s Degree required in Social Work or related field. Possesses Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) certification. Ability to obtain such license or certification within two (2) years of employment. Maintains license and/or certification by meeting continuing education requirements. Upon licensure, shall obtain Mental Health Professional Person certification. Demonstrated work experience in the mental health field. Must complete Credible EHR functionality and overview training within the first month of employment and maintain certification throughout employment. Must possess a valid Montana Operator’s License (and vehicle insurance if personal vehicle is used for client transport). Physical and Practical Requirements Walking, lifting up to 25 lbs, prolonged sitting, climbing steps, and ability to get in and out of a vehicle without assistance. Ability to communicate orally and in writing; strong people skills and ability to work with other agencies. Work may be performed in an office, client’s home, hospital, jail, or a safe place, and/or in transportation of clients to appointments. Travel may be required; exposure to inclement weather, heat, cold, rain, snow, and household chemicals may occur. Participate in CPR and MANDT training within the first three months and remain certified throughout employment. Maintain Certified Credible EHR functionality and overview throughout employment. Must possess a valid Montana Operator’s License if personal vehicle is used for client transport. Performance Criteria and Expectations Maintains the highest level of ethics, morals, standards, respect for others, empathy, and privacy of client information. May conduct therapy groups as needed. Consults and peers with other EMCMHC clinical staff and employees when needed. Performs such other assignments and duties as may be required and needed.
