Job Description and Duties
Under the general direction of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Program Supervisor I, the Risk Analyst will complete a variety of innovative, complex, and analytical tasks in support of enterprise risk management functions. The incumbent will be responsible for the development, delivery, coordination, and evaluation of the Caltrans Enterprise Risk Management program deliverables. The Risk Analyst will provide cross-functional assessments involving a wide range of risk categories, including those of a programmatic, compliance, legal, security, operational, reputation, political, or strategic nature. The Risk Analyst will conduct analytical review through risk assessments, compliance reporting, and evaluation of internal controls. These analytical actions will be guided by standards derived from the Committee of Operating Standards Organization (COSO) to manage risks across the Department.

For those who do not have current eligibility (e.g., transfer, permissive reinstatement, or voluntary demotions) and/or who will be new to state civil services employment, you must be on the state examination list to be eligible for these positions. Working Conditions
Position located at 1120 N Street Sacramento 95814.
This is a Limited Term position which may be extended to 24 months.
Multiple positions may be filled from this recruitment.
This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Caltrans supports telework, recognizing that in-person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
The incumbent may be required to sit for long periods of time using a keyboard and video display terminal. Will be required to travel between various Caltrans Sacramento offices, and may be asked to visit Caltrans district offices statewide, to attend meetings.
