The Home Health Aide plays a vital role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals in their homes. This position involves assisting clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting their independence. The Home Health Aide will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care tailored to each individual's needs.
We offer a $400 sign-on bonus to reward dedicated caregivers!
Duties
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Monitor and document vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with mobility assistance and transportation as needed.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding of medication management.
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain a hygienic environment for clients.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance with privacy standards.
- Ability to cook healthy meals tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Experience in senior care, demonstrating empathy and patience when working with elderly clients.
- Skilled in patient observation to identify changes in health status or behavior effectively.
- Familiarity with taking vital signs accurately and reporting them appropriately.
- Background in home care practices that promote independence and dignity for clients.
- Understanding of memory care techniques for clients with cognitive impairments or dementia.
- Experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not required.
