Sr Buyer

Akkodis is seeking an Sr Buyer for a Contract with a client in Glendale, AZ. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier sourcing, negotiations, contract administration, and purchase order execution in support of aerospace and defense programs .

Rate Range: $28/hour to $31/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.


Sr Buyer Job Responsibilities include:

• Manage end-to-end procurement activities, including supplier sourcing, solicitation package development, purchase order processing, and contract administration for aerospace and defense programs.
• Conduct supplier evaluations, competitive bidding processes, and source selection activities while ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, and organizational procurement requirements.
• Perform price and cost analysis using market research, historical pricing, supplier quotations, and other approved methodologies to support purchasing decisions.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost-effective and timely procurement outcomes.
• Prepare and maintain procurement documentation, including procurement summaries, source selection records, sole-source justifications, and audit-ready contract files.
• Collaborate with engineering, program management, finance, and supplier teams to support procurement planning, resolve supplier issues, and ensure successful program execution.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing, Subcontract Administration, or Supply Chain Management, preferably within Aerospace, Defense, or Government Contracting environments.
• Strong experience with FAR/DFARS-compliant procurement processes, supplier sourcing, competitive bid evaluations, source selection documentation, price analysis, and contract negotiations.
• Proven expertise in managing complex purchase orders, preparing procurement summaries and audit-ready documentation, and utilizing SAP/ERP systems to support aerospace and defense procurement operations.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $31.00 per hour
