Nuclear Outage Planning and Scheduling Specialist

Location: Jupiter, Florida, 33478

Assignment: 1-year contract (W-2), onsite #LI-Onsite

A day in this role

You arrive ready to translate complex plant priorities into an executable plan. Your morning begins by reviewing work windows and integrating engineering changes with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering. Midday, you’re drafting crisp, logically sequenced work instructions aligned with nuclear standards and regulatory requirements. In the afternoon, you attend Site/Fleet Online/Outage meetings to represent the department, validate schedule logic, and remove roadblocks. Before wrap-up, you conduct field walkdowns to confirm scope, identify corrective actions, and fine-tune surveillance and modification activities. Along the way, you also help test updates to new and existing planning/scheduling applications, ensuring the tools match the rigor of the work.

What you will do

• Develop integrated plans for plant systems and equipment across online and outage scopes.
• Author clear, step-by-step work instructions sequenced for safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Ensure all work packages comply with industry standards, procedures, and regulatory obligations.
• Interpret and implement Engineering Change requirements within planning artifacts.
• Conduct field walkdowns to validate scope and address corrective, surveillance, and modification needs.
• Coordinate closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and support groups to meet schedule commitments.
• Participate in Site/Fleet Online/Outage meetings, representing planning and removing execution barriers.
• Support testing and validation of enhancements to planning and scheduling software tools.

Qualifications and scope

• Provide support to all nuclear sites as business needs require.
• Serve as lead planner when needed, guiding scope integration and schedule quality.
• Mentor junior planner schedulers to elevate work package quality and consistency.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $55.00/hr to $60.00/hr.
