SubsidiarySteel DynamicsOverviewResponsible for assisting the Safety department with day-to-day administrative operations.ResponsibilitiesAssist with annual safety training for competent person, confined space rescue, fall rescue, medical responder, etc.Assist with new hire orientation.Assist with monthly safety training.Manage employee safety training files/certifications for internal and external training.Maintain lock-out/tag-out locks and fall protection equipment inventory and tracking.Order and maintain stock on various safety supplies.Assist with safety data input and reporting.Ensure plant-wide TVs with safety information/stats are up to date.Support Safety & Health Department with all applicable tasks as assigned.File medical records for nurses.Witness drug/alcohol tests.Complete first responder training.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or equivalentExcellent communication skills (verbal and written)Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPointStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environmentPreferredAssociate's degree in Administrative Office Management or related field2+ years clerical experienceExperience with safety-related functions, such as training managementSteel Dynamics, Inc., and all affiliated entities are equal opportunity employers.
