Renning’s Flowers is seeking an experienced Floral Designer to work in a high volume fast-paced flower shop. We are a leader in the floral industry specializing in sympathy, weddings and every day fresh flower bouquets. We have been serving the Rochester community since 1959. Our small but tight-knit crew takes pride in making sure our customers receive the highest quality fresh flowers and plants, backed up with professional and friendly customer service.

We are looking for a hard-working team-oriented floral designer to design and create standard and customized floral arrangements. This person will be responsible for advising customers on arrangements and ensuring that the formal design area is clean, stocked and well organized. This candidate must be willing to work at least two Saturdays per month and extra hours during floral holidays.

Preferences:

· 1-3 years floral design experience and Floral Design Education

· Sound knowledge of flower types, design styles, flower care

· Good organizational, communication & customer service skills

· Detail oriented

· Experience with operating point-of-sale (POS) system

· Familiarity with floral industry wire services

· Dependable

· People-oriented

· Critical thinker

· Creative

Duties:

· Design fresh arrangements for all types of occasions

· Process and care for fresh flowers

· Help customers with purchases in person or on the telephone

· Maintain a clean work environment

· Ordering of supplies and containers

· Perform other duties as necessitated by increased sales, promotions, etc.

· Base Pay Range $17-$22 per hour (based on experience)
