Production Support Operator B

Candidate could be used in either of the below roles:

Title: Production Support Operator B OR Title: Production Coil Oven Operator- Pay Rate - $16.75 3rd Shift: 11pm -7am Metatarsal safety shoes required for all positions

COIL OP DESCRIPTION: Place coils in metal racks, set up squeezing, baking in ovens, and preparing for final assembly usage.

TYPICAL DUTIES

• Load coils into metal racks.
• Set up coils for F / M press.
• Place metal racks into heated ovens.
• Sets ovens temperature and cycle time.
• Unload coils onto conveyor or pallets.
• Match production pouches with proper coils.
• Keep area clean and orderly.
• Operates various kinds of material handling equipment: forklift, walkies, stackers, and hoists.
• Pick up, load pallets and move coil pallets through plant operations
• Load shipping trailer, Scanned ID tags to create shipping manifests
• Operates lift coils from pallets onto metal racks using hoist for anything over 50 pounds (coils under 50 pounds are lifted by hand).
• Set coils using press devices to obtain desired side build of coils before placing into oven for baking.
• After baking, coils are prepared for stack maintaining even flow of coils into stock and oven.
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Candidate must have material handling experience, fork truck (sit down or stand up) and crane and hoist experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for 8 hours.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Production Support Operator B

PRIMARY FUNCTION Prepares, collects, and distributes to operators all materials required to wind coils. Performs a variety of direct and indirect tasks to optimize product flow and maximize the productivity of the coil winders.

TYPICAL DUTIES

• Collects and distributes wire, insulating paper, leads, and other necessary materials needed to wind coil orders.
• Verifies that issued materials are the proper size/part number and checks for damage and proper quantity.
• Returns all unused materials to their designated locations insuring that materials are properly marked so that inventory accuracy is maintained.
• Must be familiar with the stock room locating/stocking system and how to gain access using department PC and the SAP system.
• Operates paper sheeter machine to cut insulating paper to specified length sheets.
• Sets up and operates the paper slitting machine which cuts rolls of paper for coil winding operation.
• Operates several machines for sizing, cutting and drilling materials used in the winding process. Assembles kits for coil orders and fills bins of stock coil materials.
• Turn tests coils and verifies they have been wound per the winding sheet.
• Cuts aluminum and copper leads.
• Assembles metal and box forms as required for daily secondary winding production and stores forms after use in their proper location.
• Based upon pressite production orders received, determines sequence and grouping of part numbers to be produced in order to maximize efficiency and minimize scrap.
