Matern Staffing is hiring an internal Recruiter to join their growing business in Fredericksburg, VA. This is an in-office contract-to-hire position with occasional remote work potential. Every day in our business is different and exciting, so you'll need to be adaptable and willing to pitch in anywhere!As a Recruiter, you'll connect candidates with a job in hopes of turning it into a career. Sure, some days may be challenging but knowing you're someone the candidate trusts to help them through their questions and realize their goals make all the difference. You'll balance your efficient work habits with your friendly personality to coach candidates through the recruitment, application, interview, and onboarding steps.Salary:Starting at $20/hr, depending on experienceCommission potentialSchedule:Monday - Thursday: 8:30am to 5:00pmFriday: 8:30am to 3:00pmBenefits:401k with up to 3% matchingMedical, dental, vision insuranceSTD, LTD, Life InsurancePaid vacation, birthday, and holidaysRemote work potential (1x per week)Leadership and industry training development and reimbursementWhat You'll Do:Conduct interviews and phone screens while working directly with candidates and hiring managersSource potential candidates through databases, networking, social media, and job boardsUpdate candidate records and job postings in applicant tracking and recruiting systemsFollow up with candidates on recruiting status via phone and emailCommunicate with hiring managers about job order status, applicant assessment, employee performance, interview appointments and other important informationCreate talent pipelines based on experience, skills, availability, etc.Collaborate with teammates and managers about job orders, talent pipelinesOccasionally attend professional networking, job fair, and community eventsWhat You'll Need:Previous HR or administrative experienceAbility to communicate in both English and Spanish is a plus.Active listener who collaborates effectively with teammates, always ready to step in to helpSuperior computer skills to ensure accurate, confidential, and efficient record keepingCalmly and efficiently adapts, sees the potential for opportunity when challenges present themselvesPositive self-starter with a proactive approach, excellent time management, and prioritization skillsExceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals across all levels of an organizationComes prepared, focused, and dedicated to upholding the values and goals of the companyAbout Matern Staffing:For over 55 years Matern Staffing has built relationships with businesses and job seekers to provide staffing solutions and job opportunities to the areas of Virginia, Maryland, and beyond.
