Registered Nurse - Post-Operative/Oncology/Telemetry

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7 AM to 7 PM.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will work in a dynamic environment providing care to patients in the Post-Operative, Oncology, and Telemetry unit. Responsibilities include managing a variety of patient conditions and collaborating with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients post-operatively and those with oncology-related conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including chemotherapy under supervision.
• Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation using EPIC system.
• Collaboration with CNAs and other support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license.
• BLS certification required; ONS/ONCC (Chemotherapy Biotherapy) certification is a plus.
• Experience with telemetry and responsibility for reading and interpreting heart strips.
• Familiarity with post-operative care, oncology complications, and chest tube management.
