Description

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure proper material is ordered from the utility, prior to job being ready to work.
• Ensure proper material is delivered and staged at a laydown yard prior to the start of a job.
• Ensure material is properly balanced after the job is complete, prior to billing.
• Assist the crews in getting any material ordered and delivered that was discovered to be needed after the job has begun.
• Deliver material to the job site as needed.
• Driving a company vehicle as needed, pulling a material trailer, NON CDL.
• Cleanup, keeping the office and laydown yard neat and clean.
• Proficiency in operating a forklift. Maintain a Florklift Operator Certification.
• Send emails, utilize Office Software, Outlook, Excel, Word, and any other computer software required by the customer.
• Ensure that all assigned/unassigned vehicles and equipment are operated and maintained in accordance with safety procedures, operator's manual and state laws.
• Report any unusual job conditions to immediate supervisors.
• Ensures that daily timesheets are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
• Ensure that any complaint which cannot be resolved within authority is routed to proper personnel immediately.
• Analyzes daily workload and schedules, in regard to materials needed to complete any job.
• Create and/or utilize shared Google and Excel worksheets to keep material organized.
• Actively supports the efforts and intent of equal employment opportunity.
• Wear proper PPE, clothing, and footwear to safely complete the job.
• There will be 50% field work and 50% office work involved.
• Overnight travel will be required on an as needed basis.
• Perform other manual/office labor.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Requires journeyman level experience installing and maintaining overhead and underground power lines.
• Valid CDL A is required.
• First Aid Certification is required.
• Competency in CPR and pole top rescue is required.
• Must be able to pass drug, alcohol, and background checks.
• Must be able to pass a physical examination.
• Able and willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able and willing to work for extended periods in various locations.
• Able and willing to work in all types of weather environments including inclement weather.
• Able and willing to work overtime when required.
• Understanding of the utility industry and operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• High level of professionalism and integrity.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Ability to make decisions.
• Ability to process and analyze data.

Working Conditions

• Work is performed outside in all types of weather environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, climb, stoop, stand, and lift for long periods of time.
• Substantial movements of the hands, wrists, and/or fingers.
• Required to have close visual acuity to perform job duties.
