A well-established employer-sponsored health clinic is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant for a locum assignment in Rock Island, Illinois. This opportunity offers a patient-focused primary care environment with manageable patient volumes and an emphasis on preventive medicine, wellness, and chronic disease management.

Position Highlights

Employer-based primary care clinic serving employees and dependents (ages 3+)
Average of patients per day
Outpatient-only setting
Focus on preventive care, wellness visits, chronic disease management, and acute care
Collaborative environment with remote clinical support available
Athena EMR
Approximately 37 hours per week
2-month assignment beginning August 2026

Schedule

Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Wednesday: 6:00 AM 6:00 PM
Friday: 6:00 AM 11:00 AM

Requirements

Active Illinois Physician Assistant license
NCCPA Certification
Active DEA registration
Current BLS certification
Recent primary care experience
Comfortable managing acute illnesses, chronic conditions, wellness visits, and preventive care services
Experience in family medicine, primary care, occupational health, or urgent care preferred
