Jail Services Supervisor (ID024)

Responsibilities This position is responsible for direct administrative oversight and clinical supervision of the Discharge Planners. It includes receiving, assigning, and monitoring referrals for jail services, developing service plans, and providing discharge services to individuals incarcerated and released from Northwestern Regional Adult Detention Center, RSW Regional Jail, Page County Jail, and Central Virginia Regional Jail. Incumbent monitors the level, duration, and quality of services and documentation provided. Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree earned from an accredited college or university in a relevant human services field required. At least one year of experience working with adults required. A combination of mental health work experience or relevant education and training, which indicates the possession of knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform essential job duties required. Preferred Qualifications PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Masters degree earned from an accredited college or university in a relevant human services field. Two years of supervisory experience. Additional Requirements May be exposed to allergenic environments from client’s homes, including dust, smoke, pet contamination, cleaning supplies, etc. May be exposed to clients with infectious diseases. Must be able to drive for long periods of time to travel in and out of the catchment area as needed. Must be able to walk distances, climb and descend stairs, maneuver in and out of agency vehicles. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds at times.
