Diesel Technician Responsibilities * Diagnose, document, and repair engine, transmission, and major component fault codes using OEM software and diagnostic tools. * Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on diesel engines, drivetrains, electrical systems, chassis components, and aftertreatment systems. * Complete preventative maintenance and vehicle reconditioning. * Demonstrate advanced technical knowledge and strong problem-solving abilities. * Attend OEM and dealership training programs, both online and in person, as required. * Maintain accurate repair documentation and follow warranty procedures. Qualifications * 5+ years of experience as a diesel technician, fleet mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, or equivalent. * Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. * Ability to independently diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, drivability, chassis, and aftertreatment systems. * Experience using OEM diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools. * Formal diesel training and OEM certifications preferred. * Cummins and Allison certifications are highly desirable. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
